Hello from Hong Kong

The Executive MBA group arrived in Hong Kong a couple of days ago. The class has navigated the city and assimilated well to the differences in culture. Out Metro Park Hotel is great...it is not really what we have accepted, because the beds are very small. It is especially interesting for Jeff Howell, who can't seem to fit in a 4*6 feet long bed. The view from the top of our hotel however is breathtaking, breakfast is good....and the people are nice. We have seen lots and lots and lots of people. It is very overwhelming to see so many people in the Metro. Personal space is at a premium in the city, as our cars (taxis). Taxi drivers don't speak English, so we have to have the directions written out in Chinese for them to understand where we have to go. They drive like crazy... Jeff Howell always wants to talk to them and ask questions, but they don't understand and just say Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. We also enjoyed a half day guided tour to Victoria Peak, walked along the bay, have seend temples, went to the fish market, some took the trolley to Kowloon, went to Admiralty (the financial center). Our tour guide, Kim is quite interesting....

We are heading off to Beijing today, to meet with Chris, Jesus and Herman.
